a promise big enough to shake nations

marlbro lights and
the lighter wont strike
so i sit and sigh
try to cage stress
and simplify life
ive got a panoramic view
its the southern sky
expansive and big
its night
only a few are out
its probably because of the halogens
or something robbing a star to shine
strike
smoke
alone
little flags placed around my feet
all white
critically to mark
for the dig to extend a foundation
something concrete
but i am unstable
an unfinished sentence
incomplete
knock ask repeat
fair enough
this call is forever
your ten digits is within reach
hesitate smile wait
a spark is only for a second
darling your a firework
i am completely aware
when you took the sky by surprise
stretched out your lines
directed me up
and looked west to come to east
another promise
is sacrifice
